Robert Rodriguez, Walking Dead’s Greg Nicotero, Slash, Chris Hardwick To Appear at 2014 Eyegore Awards

The “Eyegore Awards” at Universal Studios Hollywood kicks off Halloween Horror Nights this year with its annual awards show that will honor Robert Rodriguez, “The Walking Dead’s” Greg Nicotero, filmmaker John Landis (“An American Werewolf in London” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”) with special guests Danny Trejo, AMC’s “The Talking Dead” Chris Hardwick, SLASH, veteran Special Effects Make-up artist Rick Baker. For the first time, fans can attend the special event on September 19.

For those attending this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, fans can hang with this year’s Eyegore Awards’ recipients by purchasing a special add-on ticket for the first 500 guests. Those can be purchased online at http://halloweenhorrornights.com/hollywood/2014/eyegore_awards.php. The special commemorative add-on ticket also will include a one-time Front of Line access to the “Terror Tram.”

Besides the honorees, “From Dusk Till Dawn” cast members, Wilmer Valderrama, D.J. Cotrona, Jesse Garcia and Eiza Gonzalez, Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, UFC Fighter Chuck Liddell and Tara Reid (“Sharknado”) will join in on the fun.

Last year’s recipient Danny Trejo will present his friend and cousin Robert Rodriguez the Eyegore Award for his work on his television show “From Dusk Till Dawn” and his recent film “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.” Greg Nicotero, Executive Producer and Special Effects Make-Up Supervisor of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” presented by host of AMC’s “The Talking Dead,” Chris Hardwick and Robert Kirkman, Creator and Executive Producer of “The Walking Dead” and “Outcast;” filmmaker John Landis (“An American Werewolf in London” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”), presented by Rick Baker, seven-time Academy Award-winning Special Effects Make-Up Artist and previous “Eyegore Award” recipient; and Grammy Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist, SLASH.  SLASH to perform with Myles Kennedy at award’s presentation finale.

This year’s “Halloween Horror Nights” which opens September 19 will be “More Dead Than Ever” as it brings together the sickest minds in horror to immerse guests in the living, breathing, three-dimensional world of the most notorious and terrifying creatures in existence.
