Scoot McNairy plays DEA Agent Walt Breslin in season 2 of Netflix's "Narcos: Mexico." Unfortunately he and his American costars suffered from Montezuma's Revenge during the 7-month production in Mexico. He soldiered through and he's giving CineMovie behind the scenes deets on the show including whether he'd return for a season 3.
DEA Agent Walt Breslin (McNairy) and his team are undercover in Mexico for justice for slain DEA agent Kiki Camarena. Felix Gallardo (Luna) is their number one target along with the other men responsible for the torture and killing of Camarena. The gloves are off and they are playing it like the cartel for justice.
"Narcos: Mexico" season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
"Narcos: Mexico" season 2 continues the story of Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, now the Godfather of the first Mexican cartel – the Guadalajara cartel – as he struggles to maintain control, grow his empire, and reconcile the betrayals and sacrifices he had to make on his way to becoming El Padrino. As friction between the different “plazas” of his cartel rises, Fé lix’s control over the situation slips. Meanwhile, the death of DEA agent Kiki Camarena at the hands of the cartel and corrupt politicians brings a hailstorm of retribution to Mexico. “Operation Leyenda” led by the dogged DEA agent Walt Breslin, whose methods aren’t always by-the-book, targets Félix Gallardo and his chief lieutenants, adding to the instability and volatility of the cartel.
