Sonia Braga returns to her roots to star in a Brazilian film AQUARIUS directed by Kleber Mendoca Filho. CineMovie sat down with the Brazilian actress and director to discuss Braga’s return to acting in her native language, and the state of affairs in Brazil.
Sonia Braga plays a 65-year-old widow fighting to stay in her two-story apartement building as she's being evicted by a big builder wanting to build a skyscraper. She holds her ground against the company, and revisits her past, loved one and future.
AQUARIUS is playing in select theaters in Los Angeles and New York City.
