CineMovie caught up with THOR: THE DARK WORLD's Tom Hiddleston a few months ago at D23 where he gave us insight into Loki's next adventure as a do-gooder or troublemaker in the follow up Marvel film, and his feelings on not returning to another Avengers assembly.

Loki returns as Thor's mischievous brother in THOR: THE DARK WORLD. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) seeks Loki's help against a new threat to the universe (Malekith played by Christopher Eccleston) and agrees to release him from the dungeons of Asgard if he agrees to cooperate and not cause trouble. Does Loki behave to help his brother?  CineMovie posed the question to Tom Hiddleston while at Disney's fan event D23 to which he replied that Loki is the god of mischievousness so you never know, but the relationship between the brothers will be surprising.
"It's a lovely new twist. It's a new iteration."
He went on to explain the trouble that Thor and Asgard are facing and why Thor needs Loki's help in defeating the new antagonist.

Tom Hiddleston made an appearance on stage at the Disney arena at the Anaheim Convention Center August 10th during D23's live action presentation. Marvel Studios executive Kevin Feige brought Hiddleston and his co-stars Natalie Portman and Sir Anthony Hopkins out to introduce never-before-seen footage from THOR: THE DARK WORLD.

Afterwards, Hiddleston made his rounds on the press line where he also told CineMovie he understands why Loki won't be returning to Marvel's The Avengers sequel.
"I had a wonderful role that Joss Whedon wrote for me. I really think the Avengers need a new villain. They defeated me already."
Hiddleston adds he had a good run of the character and perhaps he may show up in the future or maybe "this is it, I had a good time."

Until then, fans will get their Loki fix when Tom Hiddleston returns with THOR: THE DARK WORLD on November 8, 2013.
