Hathaway takes it to the next level proving she can sing. Russell Crowe has never sung on camera although he fronted two bands with 30 Odd Foot of Grunts and The Ordinary Fear Of God.
Set in the backdrop of 19th century France, Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for years by the ruthless policeman Javert, played by Russell Crowe. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.
