CinemaCon 2016 Photo Recap: Movie Stars Galore at Las Vegas Event

Movie studios paraded the stars and filmmakers for their upcoming projects at this year’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas, NV. The annual event held for theater owners brought out A-listers such as J.J. Abrams, Jennifer Lawrence, James Cameron, Chris Pratt, Anna Kendrick, Zac Efron and many others to talk up their new movies along with special announcements such as the title for the next Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland. Take a look at the celebrities who attended the star-studded event.
The biggest announcement out of CinemaCon 2016 was from James Cameron who announced four sequels to AVATAR along with the release dates that will take us into well into 2023.
Sony brought out the stars and director for their upcoming slate and announced the new name for the Spider-Man reboot. Tom Holland showed charm as the star of the next adventures of Spider-Man titled: SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING.
Sony also brought out the ladies from the GHOSTBUSTERS reboot and director Paul Feig to pump up the film starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
Speaking of reboots, Chris Pratt and director Antoine Fuqua represented for THE MAGNIFICENT 7. The Western opens September 23, 2016.
Chris Pratt mingled with other stars such as Melissa McCarthy and his PASSENGERS co-star Jennifer Lawrence at Sony’s presentation.
Paramount had some fun as well with their four films. TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS stars Megan Fox and Will Arnett brought pizza to share with the crowd. Director Dave Green accepted the Male Star of Tomorrow Award on behalf of recipient and TMNT star Stephen Amell.
J.J. Abrams and Simon Pegg came out to Las Vegas to talk up STAR TREK: BEYOND although no footage was shown causing havoc online, but it was later explained the footage was being saved for a fan event in May. Jeremy Renner, star of STORY OF YOUR LIFE, also showed up for his film, and hung with the STAR TREK: BEYOND crew along with Paramount executive Rob Moore.

NOW YOU SEE ME 2’s Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, director Jon M Chu, and co-producer David Copperfield helped introduce the sequel at Lionsgate’s CinemaCon Presentation in Las Vegas, NV.

Movie studio STX announced partnership with Sylvester Stallone for future projects. STX also brought out writer and director Gary Ross, Matthew McConaughey, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw for FREE STATE OF JONES which opens June 24th, 2016.
The ladies of comedy in BAD MOMS huddled together with Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Annie Mumolo,with Jada Pinkett Smith and Christina Applegate as well as producer Suzanne Todd posing for pictures and coming on stage to entertain the largely male theater owners. BAD MOMS opens July 29, 2016.
FOX didn't fall short on their celebrity line-up with a performance from Vanilla Ice performing his classic and only hit, "Ice Ice Baby" but with a twist to the name. Watch video.
Zac Efron flexed his muscles with MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES co-stars Anna Kendrick and Adam DeVine.
The stars of INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE also descended on Las Vegas with Jeff Goldblum, Sela Ward, Vivica Fox, Brent Spiner and newcomer Maika Monroe.
