Disney Classics Arrive On Blu-ray Combo Packs For First Time



The new Disney releases are part of the "New to Blu" series which introduces classic Disney films on Blu-ray for the first time.  Animated fare such as The Aristocats, Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure Special Edition, and The Tigger Movie will be released as Blu-ray Combo Packs and digital formats with new and exclusive bonus features and un-seen footage, in addition, the classics come fully restored in high-definition digital versions.  Extras on The Tigger Movie the Bounce-a-Riffic Special Edition  include "Round My Family Tree" Sing-Along Song, Kenny Loggins music video to "Your Heart Will Lead You Home," 10 Mini Adventures of Winnie the Pooh shorts, and a Disney intermission with fun activities for the kids while the parents fill up their snack bowl. On Disney's The Aristocats, bonus features include The Lost Open,  the original storyboard for the original scene opening of the film and a character that were eventually deleted from the final cut, the video musical "Oui Oui Mari," a deleted song, and "Bath Day," a classic short film.  Lady and the Tramp II disc contains less extras with a short film of the Pluto character and film tunes for group sing-alongs.

Pocahontas and The Rescuers 35th Anniversary Edition come to Blu-ray as a 2-Movie Collection featuring their sequels. The discs for Pocahontas and Pocahontas II: Journey To A New World.  The Blu-ray versions boasts exclusive material such as a short film entitled "Little Hiawatha," the storyboards from the short film Drawing Inspiration: The Lost Story of Hiawatha, music from the animated adventure including a never-before-released song "If I Never Knew" along with the animated sequence that was deleted from the film.  Similar features can be found on The Rescuers 35th Anniversary Edition and The Rescuers Down Under 2-movie collection including a deleted song, a short film "The Three Blind Mouseketeers" and a Walt Disney True Life Adventure documentary film, Water-Birds.

The Disney Blu-ray versions will be available staring Tuesday, August 21, 2012.
