If you still haven’t tuned in to watch TNT’s Claws, then you’ve started your summer wrong. Sunday is the season finale so make sure to binge watch before the climactic ending.
This show is not all about manis and pedis, and it is definitely not about your average manicurists. It is a nail salon by day and a money laundering business at night. But don’t get it mixed up, the women at the salon aren’t the bad guys in this new series.
The show casts a group of diverse women who bring the storyline to life. At the center of attention is Reno 911’s Niecy Nash (Desna), the nail salon owner. Her Staff includes Jenn Lyon (Jennifer), a mother of two; Scrub’s Judy Reyes (Quiet Ann), the salon’s security guard; The Good Wife’s Carrie Preston (Polly), a preppy middle aged woman who recently served time in prison; and lastly, Karrueche Tran (Virginia), who landed her first major television role as the youngest of the crew who isn’t afraid to speak her mind.
If this hasn’t made you second guess why you haven’t started watching the show, then keep reading.
Here are three reasons why you should be setting your DVR every Sunday night:
•These women are go getters— they might be laundering money from a medical clinic, but for them this is one step closer to owning their dream salon. They go great lengths to make their dream a reality.
•Family is always first— There is more to this show than money laundering and a nail salon. Desna has a soft side when it comes to her autistic brother she takes care of. She struggles to balance work and her personal life.
•It’s fierce— with fierce nails comes a fierce attitude. The women in this show aren’t afraid to say what’s on their mind. Throughout the show they make it known they aren’t the type of women to mess with.
