Lethal Weapon Set Visit - Cast Damon Wayans, Jordana Brewster, Clayne Crawford, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Johnathan Fernandez

"Lethal Weapon" season 2 is underway Tuesday nights on FOX, and before the season 2 premiere, CineMovie visited the set on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, CA for Taco Tuesday with the cast and showrunner. "Lethal Weapon" showrunner Matthew Miller walked us through Riggs trailer, Murtaugh's home and the police station. Take a look at the photos from the "Lethal Weapon" set.

"Lethal Weapon" stars Damon Wayans, Jordana Brewster, Clayne Crawford, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Johnathan Fernandez, Michelle Mitchenor and Dante Brown were on hand for Taco Tuesday. Once our bellies were full, we were ready for the set tour with showrunner Matthew Miller.

"Lethal Weapon" shoots on two sound stages on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles. Upon entry, Riggs trailer is the first thing we come across. All the interiors are shot inside the make-shift trailer home. A few steps ahead you walk into the LAPD offices with a full set of offices, interrogation room, Dr. Cahill's office and Scorsese's morgue.

Miller revealed that Riggs may have closed the books on his wife's murder, but he still has issues that stem back to his father. Dr. Cahilll played by Jordana Brewster will delve deep into his daddy issues.

Next, Miller walked us through Murtaugh's family house which is also a fully functional set with connecting rooms like the kitchen, living room, bedrooms and the patio. Miller explained the home is an exact replica of the house used in the pilot in the San Fernando Valley complete with ceilings. On sets, ceilings are open so that the studio lights hang on the rails, but Miller says they wanted to use the whole space rather than be limited to certain angles.

Miller let us in on a secret - like in the movies, the Murtaugh's home will be destroyed. When we inquired whether a toilet bomb is involved like in the LETHAL WEAPON sequel, Miller said the destruction will occur in a different fashion, but he liked the idea of using that gag from the movies in a future episode.

While those sets are stationary, another stage holds special sets which are constantly in flux depending on the scene for a new episode. For example, for the premiere episode of season 2, Riggs and Murtaugh shoot up a Mexican hotel, but they didn't go to Mexico for that. The hotel interiors were shot on a sound stage.
