New 'Thor: Love and Thunder' Poster and Trailer: First Look at Christian Bale as Gorr

Marvel Studios released the first full trailer for THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER directed by Taika Waititi in which we get a first look at Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, Russell Crowe as Zeus and some of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The new preview also unveils Jane Foster in action as the Mighty Thor. Watch the exciting new trailer and new key art.
Bale looks terrifying as Gorr, the supervillain from the comics. The Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt’s Star Lord, Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, Groot and Rocket but we only see Drax (Dave Bautista) and Nebula (Karen Gillian).
Judging by the trailer, the God of Thunder will visit various locations and planets, and stumbling onto Portman’s Jane Foster.
THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER opens in U.S. theaters July 8, 2022.
Official Synopsis
In the God of Thunder’s latest adventure—Thor takes a trip to Olympus where Zeus (Russell Crowe) reigns supreme.
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a search for self-discovery. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
