JD Pardo, Billy Magnussen, and Daniela Melchior star in the new ROAD HOUSE movie, coming to Prime Video on March 21. JD Pardo shares a few fight scenes with Jake Gyllenhaal, and says Jake landed a few slaps on him, but he took it like a pro. Also, Magnussen reveals he's often cast as the villain. We're also talking to the leading lady who takes on the tough guys in the remake.
ROAD HOUSE is a remake of the 1989 action movie starring Patrick Swayze. The setting and characters are new except for the Dalton character name, played here by Jake Gyllenhaal. The 2024 Dalton is a former UFC fighter living as a nomad until he's offered as job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse. The rest of the story beats are similar to the original. A businessman (Magnussen) resorts to violence to destroy a joint called the Road House to make way for a resort development.
ROAD HOUSE stars Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior (THE SUICIDE SQUAD), Billy Magnussen (NO TIME TO DIE), Lukas Gage (The White Lotus, Euphoria), Arturo Castro, JD Pardo (Mayans M.C.) and in his feature film debut, Conor McGregor.
