When children watch Disney's BIG HERO 6, they'll be seeing someone like themselves on the big screen. Ryan Potter, Genesis Rodriguez and Daniel Henney voice characters that they can feel proud of in the new annimated movie.
From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes an action-packed adventure featuring a boy named Hiro Hamada (Potter), his inflatable super robot and his high-tech friends Honey Lemon (Genesis Rodriguez), Wasabi (Damon Wayans, Jr.), Go Go Tomago (Jamie Chung) and Fred (T.J. Miller). The voice cast represents a wide variety of backgrounds including an on screen character who represents a mixed race (Hiro). Althought the film doesn't address their skin color or looks, it's nice to see the melting pot society is today represented on the big screen in a major Hollywood movie. Hiro's character is of a mixed race which we haven't seen in an family films especially an animated Disney film. The stars of the film talk to CineMovie about seeing themselves portrayed in BIG HERO 6.
