Emily Blunt was a bit of a daredevil as Mary Poppins in the sequel to the beloved Disney classic. MARY POPPINS RETURNS director Rob Marshall gives CineMovie the scoop on Blunt's fearlessness when it came to doing her own stunts.
Emily Blunt wasn't on a green screen floating through the clouds with her famous umbrella when she is re-introduced into the lives of the Banks family in MARY POPPINS RETURNS. Director Rob Marshall put her up on a crane for the scene. And when Mary Poppins slides into the bathtub into the 2D animated sequnce - that's Emily dipping into the bathtub backwards into an underground slide built for the production. Marshall explains why she was fearless and why he felt it was important to make it as realistic as possible.
You can watch all the behind the scenes magic and the movie when MARY POPPINS RETURNS, starring Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda, now on Digital 4K Ultra HD™ and Movies Anywhere and on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray.™
