Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-MAN is being hailed as the best comic book movie and the best animated film by critics and audiences. Now a box office hit, ACROSS THE SPIDER-MAN finished post-production just one week before the movie's release. The filmmakers revealed that tidbit at the Los Angeles premiere. Watch the moment in the video below.

Miles Morales' (Shameik Moore) Spider-verse earned $120.5 million and $88 million internationally this opening weekend. It was down to the wire in finishing the film one week prior to its release. It's not surprising the animated film was a five-year-long process given the vast amount of visual designs in the parallel Spider-man universes.

Miles Morales continues his adventure as Brooklyn’s Spider-Man, but when he follows Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) into the Multi-verse, he encounters dozens of Spider-People including Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), Jessica Drew (Issa Rae), Spider-Punk (Daniel Kaluuya), Scarlet Spider (Andy Samberg), India's Spider-Man Pavitr Prabhakar.

At the Los Angeles premiere, executive producers Christopher Miller and Phil Lord revealed the film was completed one week before its release on Friday, June 2. Directors Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson and Joaquim Dos Santos thanked the crew for their hard work leading up to the final product. The long hours have paid off with a piece of art.
