The studio has a lot to juggle with tons of titles for Marvel, Pixar and FOX divisions in addition to Disney properties. Disney's high-profile films like MULAN and BLACK WIDOW were pushed to summer and November respectively. Wes Anderson's THE FRENCH DISPATCH and Ryan Reynolds will round out the year with his latest FREE GUY in December. INDIANA JONES 5 was moved to 2022 to accommodate the shuffling of the other feature films.
Sony Pictures Moves 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife', 'Morbius,' 'Peter Rabbit 2' to 2021
ARTEMIS FOWL was originally slated for May 20 in theaters so will they keep the date for the Disney+ premiere? The announcement stated the premiere date would be announced at a later date.
Other films were missing from the new list such as THE NEW MUTANTS, THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD AND THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW. No word on the fate of those films, but given the shuffling of dozens of projects they may not have figured all of it yet.
Below is a breakdown of the new dates.
