Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG stars Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, James Marsden and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog movie is a fish-out-of-water story when he's forced to leave his home for Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Tom (Marsden), the small-town sheriff discovers Sonic, and both go on a road trip to escape Dr. Robotnik and reclaim his rings which help him travel to other lands.

SONIC THE MOVIE is an action-packed ride that's hilarious and endearing with a lot of heart. Adults and children alike enjoyed this film as evident from the roariing laughter echoing through the theater. Ben Schwartz's voicing of the lightning fast critter is perfect with a tone and humor that best suits a beloved video game character.
The CGI is strikingly good, and if we didn't know any better we'd believe Sonic the Hedgehog was real. Lucklily director Jeff Fowley released a first look on Twitter of the Sega character early on so changes could be made to reflect a more accurate depiction of the beloved character.
SONIC THE MOVIE is in movie theaters February 14.
