For obvious reasons, not much can be said about the film since the unknown is what makes 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE work. What should be said is that Winstead, John Goodman and Newroom's John Gallagher Jr. give great performances with a tight script that grounds everything in reality.
Given 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE is director Dan Trachtenberg's first feature film, it's pretty impressive. The film's setting takes largely in the underground bunker, and you get the feeling of being in the close quarters with the characters. When the film becomes intense, it only adds to the horror.
