Jason Reitman (JUNO, GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE) revisits the tumultuous launch of Saturday Night Live in SATURDAY NIGHT which propelled the members into icons such as Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi. Meet the actors playing the SNL comedy ensemble with character posters and the new SATURDAY NIGHT trailer.
Lorne Michaels created Saturday Night Live, one of the longest-running sketch comedy and variety shows with a track record of making mega stars such as Eddie Murphy, Will Farrell, Adam Sandler, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, just to name a few.
Director Jason Reitman goes behind the scenes in the making of the sketch show that was set up to fail as the trailer suggests. The film is inspired by the intense 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live.
SATURDAY NIGHT hits select theaters on September 27 and expands to a wider release on October 11, 2024.

Synopsis
At 11:30pm on October 11, 1975, a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers changed television – and culture – forever.
